Thanks to an impressive 11-game winning streak, Houston surged to the top of the standings and claimed the AL West division lead. Not much has changed since that point, and fan confidence remains high. While there was a brief dip in fan confidence to 86 percent a week later, there was a jump back 88 percent as of July 6. This development isn terribly surprising when you consider that the Astros have performed relatively well before their recent power outage in the last three games against the A and Yankees. I sure these confidence numbers will take a dip once we account for this recent slate of games, but it shouldn drop too much. A three-game losing streak in July isn particularly noteworthy unless it grows with today game and the next series following the All-Star break. But this roster is far from full strength as Alex Bregman, Carlos Correa, Aledmys Daz, and Jose Urquidy are unavailable. Zack Greinke has been dealing with a sore right shoulder for about a month. With the break looming this week, it represents a perfect time for this team to take a breath and gather themselves for the latter half of the season. Theyl need it as the A are trailing for the AL West lead by only 3 1 2 games.
